Russian Ambassador: President Putin will visit Vietnam in the near future

Speaking at the event, the Russian Ambassador emphasized: `The relationship between our two countries is linked by decades of common history, filled with strong friendship and mutually beneficial cooperation in many ways.`
According to Mr. Bezdetko, in 2023, the Russian President approved Russia’s new foreign policy doctrine.
He emphasized that ASEAN countries occupy an important position in Russia’s priorities in the Asia-Pacific region.

In addition, the Russian Ambassador said that Moscow is very supportive if Vietnam wants to join the group of Emerging Economies (BRICS).
He emphasized that BRICS does not set too strict requirements for candidates to join, but has a fairly open path to participation, suitable for each country.

Speaking at the event, Russian Trade Representative in Vietnam Vyacheslav Nikolaevich Kharinov said that since 2016, the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) with Russia as a member and Vietnam has implemented free trade regulations.
In addition, at the current stage, Vietnam is participating in 15 agreements on simplified customs management.
In the past year, at the 24th Session of the Intergovernmental Committee of Russia – Vietnam on economic – trade and scientific – technical cooperation discussed the effectiveness of implementing the Free Trade Agreement between Russia and Vietnam.
Mr. Kharinov mentioned successful cooperation projects between Vietnam in the fields of economics, trade and science and technology.
At the event, Director of the Russian Center for Science and Culture in Vietnam Vladimir Vladimirovich Murashkin said the relationship between Vietnam and Russia has deep historical roots.
