A series of `dragon` edition cars, opened for limited sale in Vietnam to welcome the Lunar New Year

(Dan Tri) – The year of the dragon anniversary versions of these car models are all available for sale in limited quantities, with some models running out of stock after 22 minutes for pre-orders.

For some Eastern countries including Vietnam, dragons are considered mascots symbolizing luck, power, wealth and prosperity.

Below are some models commemorating the Lunar New Year, including some that have been sold out but some that have not yet been brought to Vietnam.

VinFast VF 7 Dragon Forged

The special edition of VinFast VF 7 is called Hoa Long Doc Ban (Dragon Forged), first appearing at an event in Nha Trang in December 2023.

Dragon Forged is developed based on the Plus variant of VF 7, priced at 1,005,800,000 VND without battery and 1,205,800,000 VND with battery, 155.8 million and 206.8 million VND higher respectively than the original version.

VinFast VF 7 Dragon Forged uses black exterior paint, combined with yellow details such as wheels, V logo, steering wheel contour and rear.

Providing power for VinFast VF 7 Dragon Forged are 2 electric motors combined with a full-time 2-wheel drive system.

Quantum DxDragon

Electric motorbike company Dat Bike also launched a special edition to celebrate the year of the dragon.

Unlike the regular version, the Quantum DxDragon wears wine red paint, combined with some white curving dragon images, appearing around the car name and brand.

Quantum DxDragon’s electric motor is no different from the regular version, with a capacity of 7,000W with a maximum speed of 100km/h.

Vespa 946 Dragon

Following the Bunny version celebrating the year of the Cat, Vespa has launched 946 Dragon – a special edition for the year of the Dragon.

Vespa 946 Dragon has a yellow paint layer, with emerald green dragon motifs winding from the body of the vehicle to the front fairing.

Unlike previous special editions, the Vespa 946 Dragon also comes with a set of fashion accessories also in yellow and blue dragon motifs, including: Dragon Varsity jacket made of ribbed wool and nappa fabric, rear pocket and helmet.

The selling price of Vespa 946 Dragon for the Vietnamese market has not been revealed.

Experts predict that when Vespa 946 Dragon returns to Vietnam, it will cost around 500-700 million VND.
