(Dan Tri) – A new poll shows that American voters evaluate former President Donald Trump’s term more highly than his successor, President Joe Biden.

A CBS News survey of 2,159 adults, released on March 3, found that 46% of registered voters rated Donald Trump’s presidency as `excellent` or `good`.

The CBS poll found that only 6% of voters believe the situation in the US is going `very well`, compared to 36% who think the country is trending `very bad`.

Mr. Biden is rated weak on issues considered to be priority concerns of voters, including the economy, crime and border security.

Mr. Biden, 81 years old, the oldest president in US history, also faces concerns from voters about his health and mental health for his term in the White House.

CBS reported that Mr. Trump is leading Mr. Biden by 4 percentage points, with a score of 52-48, in the presidential race, Mr. Trump’s largest gap to date.

In the context of receiving low approval ratings for his achievements as president, Mr. Biden has focused his re-election campaign mainly on attacking Mr. Trump as a `danger` to democracy.

However, the CBS poll shows that Mr. Biden and Mr. Trump are rated equally in terms of `danger` to the US government system.

Voters in both major political parties largely agree that they are unhappy to see a rematch between the two candidates who ran for the White House four years ago.
