European imported cars offer 50% registration discount to compete with `domestic` cars

(Dan Tri) – After more than 2 months of entering the Vietnamese market, Czech automobile brand Skoda has launched registration incentives to create balance with domestically produced and assembled cars.

The last month of the year is the time when car manufacturers `run their numbers` and 2023 witnesses competition between imported cars and domestically produced and assembled cars.

Skoda is an example when the Karoq car line will receive a 50% registration discount for customers who buy in 2023. With a selling price of 999 million VND – 1,089 billion VND, users will save about 50-65 million VND when driving.

Thanks to this policy, Karoq increases its competitiveness against competitors in the C-size SUV segment. The above car group is recording great interest from Vietnamese customers, including Mazda CX-5 (749-849 million VND)

Currently, best-selling car models in the C-SUV segment have almost no promotions, and are even starting to run out of stock.

Skoda Karoq entered the market when there were about a dozen competitors, making a difference with its European origin.

In addition to Karoq, this European car brand also offers incentives for its `elder` model Skoda Kodiaq.

With any new brand, in addition to price or equipment, customers are also especially interested in maintenance costs.

Not only Skoda, some other manufacturers when entering the Vietnamese market also offer free incentives or give away maintenance service cards for the first few years, for example Volvo is 3 years depending on the car model and time of purchase.

Kodiaq owns the 7-seat space of a D-size SUV, priced from 1.19-1.41 billion VND.

The European import origin creates an advantage for Skoda cars when returning to Vietnam.

On the current market, other imported car models such as Volkswagen, Subaru… are also strongly offered incentives by dealers.
